November 2007 – Carolina Premier Bank of South Charlotte hired design firm, Bachman ID of Dublin, Ohio, to create its new corporate identity and brand image. “We wanted our brand to communicate our professionalism, traditional values and innovative approach to banking. We also want Carolina Premier Bank to be identified as the local community bank in South Charlotte with a focus on small business,” stated John S. Kreighbaum, President and CEO of the Bank.

The logo mark and service statement - “Community-minded. Business-oriented.” - work together to communicate Carolina Premier Bank’s hometown values as well as its forward-thinking ideas, especially for the business community in South Charlotte. The logo mark includes graphic elements that represent North Carolina’s mountain and shoreline areas. Carolina Premier Bank’s name is positioned between these two symbols to indicate its North Carolina roots as well as its growth potential. Through use of its state-of-the-art technology platform, Carolina Premier Bank is positioned to serve customers over a broad geographical area.

Warm colors found in nature create a fresh palette reminiscent of North Carolina’s seasons and natural beauty – blue denoting the coastal area and green indicative of the verdant mountain regions. The auburn dot in the letter ‘i’ in Carolina conveys something bold, fresh and unexpected.

The use of typography in Carolina Premier Bank’s name combines a clean, contemporary typeface with an easy-going, hand-drawn typeface.  Again, this supports Carolina Premier Bank’s brand position as professional, yet customer-friendly and personal.
